Trowel-trade bricklayer • Macon County, Georgia

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Macon County, Georgia. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks The role involves forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish. Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
