You should have: • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine On a typical shift you will spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse; push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving; refuel the machine and record running hours; grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank.
