Domestic gas engineer — Mercer County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a domestic gas engineer in Mercer County, Missouri. You will be based at a heating and plumbing contractor. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Able to read isometric and site drawings Your main tasks: • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply Full-time with occasional weekends.
