Semi-automatic welder wanted in Oconee County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Oconee County, South Carolina. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Requirements: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances On the job you will handle: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
