Sheet metal press operator — Washtenaw County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Washtenaw County, Michigan. The job is in a sheet metal stamping unit. What we are looking for: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout You will clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; set up and change stamping dies and tooling; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; record output and downtime on the production sheet. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
