Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Armagh City Banbridge and Craigavon, Northern Ireland. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Your main tasks: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Full-time, day shift.
