Milling machinist — Dorchester County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a milling machinist in Dorchester County, South Carolina. Requirements: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Day-to-day duties: • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control Full-time, day shift.
