Your main tasks: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
