Industrial sewing operator — Mercer County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Mercer County, Illinois. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. What we are looking for: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Your main tasks: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
