Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in La Plata County, Colorado. On the job you will handle: • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints Requirements: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
