Join our team: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Yakutat City and Borough, Alaska. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Requirements: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line On the job you will handle: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
