Gas metal arc welder — Raleigh County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Raleigh County, West Virginia. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift.
