Metal caster — Caledonia County

Join our team: we are hiring a metal caster in Caledonia County, Vermont. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $20 per hour, based on your experience. Share your details and we will call you back.
