Blocklayer — Coles County

Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Coles County, Illinois. The job is at a renovation and extension job. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day You will checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
