Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Blanco County, Texas. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On the job you will handle: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 6+ years on the tools preferred.
