Cnc production machinist • City and Borough of Wakefield, England

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a cnc production machinist in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. You will work at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection Day to day you will run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; write and edit G-code programs at the control. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around £1,900 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends.
