Ladle pourer • Plumas County, California

We are recruiting: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Plumas County, California. The job is on the moulding line. Day-to-day duties: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Full-time with occasional weekends.
