Abattoir worker — Hidalgo County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Hidalgo County, New Mexico. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Requirements: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Your main tasks: • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools We offer $150 per day plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
