Mechanical press operator — Charles City County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a mechanical press operator in Charles City County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings Requirements: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
