Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Cleveland County, North Carolina. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Day-to-day duties: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet 3+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $2,700 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
