You should have: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Day to day you will grind back and re-weld any defective runs; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc.
