Great opportunity: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Ogemaw County, Michigan. You will be based at a shipyard. You should have: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles You will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; read lift plans and method statements before starting; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $5,000 per month, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
