Aluminium tig welder — City of Lexington

Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in City of Lexington, Virginia. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
