Escalator technician • Orleans County, New York

We are recruiting: we are hiring an escalator technician in Orleans County, New York. You will be based on a high-rise construction site. The role involves: • Carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
