Argon welding operator — Cobb County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Cobb County, Georgia. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Part-time with flexible hours.
