Semi-automatic welder — Summit County

Now hiring: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Summit County, Colorado. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Your main tasks: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence 3+ years on the tools preferred. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
