Vacancy available: we are hiring a press operator in Newry Mourne and Down, Northern Ireland. You will be based in a metal fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred On the job you will handle: • Clear scrap and offcuts from the die area • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. £2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
