Now hiring: nursery worker (Colorado)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a nursery worker in Alamosa County, Colorado. Day to day you will lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds. What we are looking for: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
