Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Bourbon County, Kentucky. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Your main tasks: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush 3+ years on the tools preferred.
