Immediate opening: sand plant operator (Abia State)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area, Abia State. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day-to-day duties: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Rotating shifts.
