Foundry labourer — Phillips County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Phillips County, Kansas. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
