Gtaw welder wanted in Borough of Oldham

Join our team: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Borough of Oldham, England. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) The role involves: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) 1+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around £2,300 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
