MIG/MAG welder • York County, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in York County, Virginia. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes 3+ years on the tools preferred.
