Immediate opening: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Wilkes County, North Carolina. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. Your main tasks: • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances 1+ years on the tools preferred. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
