Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Day to day you will read lift plans and method statements before starting; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings.
