Immediate opening: we are hiring a horticulturist in Lancaster County, South Carolina. The role involves: • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs What we are looking for: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish Six days a week, one day off.
