Occupational health and safety officer wanted in Genesee County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Genesee County, Michigan. The role involves: • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges What we are looking for: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
