Now hiring: gas metal arc welder (England)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Hertfordshire, England. Your main tasks: • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints Requirements: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety 1+ years on the tools preferred.
