Excavator operator — Obi

Great opportunity: we are hiring an excavator operator in Obi, Benue State. You will be based on a busy construction site. On a typical shift you will stockpile and spread material to the required levels; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance Rotating shifts.
