Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes.
