Now hiring: steel fixing chargehand (North Carolina)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Montgomery County, North Carolina. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
