Now hiring: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Charles City County, Virginia. The role involves: • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • Box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN) • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Able to read formwork and structural drawings 4+ years on the tools preferred. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
