Occupational health and safety officer wanted in Winnebago County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Winnebago County, Illinois. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. Day to day you will audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task. Ideal candidate: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Full-time with occasional weekends.
