Garment machinist — Keokuk County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment machinist in Keokuk County, Iowa. Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance On the job you will handle: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
