We are recruiting: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances On a typical shift you will bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
