Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Naugatuck Valley Planning Region, Connecticut. The job is on site fitting windows in new-build flats. Day-to-day duties: • Fit EPDM gaskets and brush-pile weather seals along the rails • Rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router • Take site measurements of openings before fabrication • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash You should have: • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Able to read cutting lists and fabrication drawings Six days a week, one day off.
