Horizontal milling machine operator wanted in Southampton

We are recruiting: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Southampton, England. On the job you will handle: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
