Reinforcement fitter — City of Alexandria

We are recruiting: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in City of Alexandria, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire The role involves: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
