Machinist wanted in Newry Mourne and Down

Vacancy available: we are hiring a machinist in Newry Mourne and Down, Northern Ireland. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. Your main tasks: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
