Immediate opening: excavator operator (Texas)

Now hiring: we are hiring an excavator operator in Wharton County, Texas. The job is on a busy construction site. Requirements: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings Your main tasks: • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
